Mr Leon Theremin, a young Russian physicist invented the Theremin in October of 1920, Leon who was known in Russia as Lev Sergeivich Termen. The theremin electronic musical instrument was originally the product of Russian government-sponsored research into proximity sensors, the Theremin captivates audiences because of the non use of touch to the instrument, which is controlled without physical contact from the player, the notes and sound is created by the simple sense of the position of the player’s hands and the hands movement creates controlled oscillations of frequencies.  Mano Devina creates the music with one hand, and amplitude(volume) with the other, so Theremin can be played without being touched. 

The apparatus has aloop antenna on the left that controls the volume while the upright antenna controls the pitch, the electric signals from the instrument are amplified and sent to a loudspeaker.

We knew that Melissa Short Zapin "Miss Hawaii 1996" was destined for great stardom the minute my daughter first met Melissa when she was about 12 years Old, they were both asked to sing at an event the Blaisdell concert hall in Honolulu Hawaii. Melissa was running for Miss Hawaii a preliminary for the Miss America program and had start a community service program called “Grandma’s little Angel’s” after they both had sung, Melissa ask her if she would like to come with her and sing for the seniors citizens and elders at the various nursing homes across the Island of Oahu.

I caught up with World Renowned Astrologer Karen McCoy in Florida at a friends home to find out the importance of the astrological happenings with Today’s Sun Lunar Eclipse. She explained that “this a Total Lunar Eclipse today June 15, 2011 at 4:14 PM EDT at 24 degrees 23 minutes of Sagittarius. This eclipse is a positive eclipse, bringing good energy.

Karen shares that, “the eclipses depict an intimate relationship between the Sun, Moon and Earth. The Sun, Moon, and Earth are the trio that represents our Ego (Sun), Emotions (Moon) and our Physical Form (Earth) in our birth charts. The transiting eclipses represent our collective Egos, our collective Emotions and our collective Karma. Karma on an individual level is how we work things out in our daily lives and physical bodies. On a collective level Karma is how we serve the planet and work things out collectively.”

Karen describes, “today’s event is a North Nodal Lunar eclipse. North Nodal means it offers us something. Lunar makes it personal and on a soul growth level. In Sagittarius it means stretching beyond our comfort zone and reaching for answers. Learning how to create change and taking a look at our belief system. It is about finding truth and embracing it even if it is uncomfortable. It is about removing stagnation.

All of the above is quite fabulous, especially with the times we are in, though it does not scratch the surface of what this eclipse energy is offering. The center of our known universe is 26 degrees of Sagittarius. Any time a planet moves within 2 degrees in either direction of this point, it is considered to be conjoining the center of our universe. “

I asked Karen so what does this mean to me/us? She replied, “It means that universal energy (awareness) will be transmitted at a very high frequency level during this eclipse. You would have to be very dense not to receive needed awareness’s now. The portal between this dimension and universal knowledge is open for a short period of time.”

My next question to Karen was, how do I access this information? She shared that, “this is an easy question, meditation, contemplation, prayer (as long as you save quiet time for listening to your inner voice and spiritual guidance).”

Karen went on to explain how yet another question that arises from this answer. How do I know if it is my imagination or spiritual guidance? The answer is simple. Spirit will not guide you to hurt yourself or anyone else. It will only guide you with information that will better your life and the life of others. It will not take away your free will it will only give you educated choices. The bottom line is, it does not matter if this energy creates a space for you to go deep within yourself to find answers, or if the universe provides the answers for you. What matters is, the answers are being provided.

How long is this window open? Karen remarked that, “this is a three-step answer: 1st step the strongest part of the energy is during the eclipse, as the actual eclipse is happening. 2nd step is still quite strong and only slightly lesser and that is from and hour and a half in either direction away from the actual eclipse. The 3rd step tells us the energy on some level is still available for us until the next lunar eclipse happens, for that is when we start working on a different lesson. That eclipse will happen on December 10, 2011.”

Karen McCoy went on to summarize. “An extremely important point of interest is that because this eclipse is conjunct the center of our known universe, this is a time that we can very powerfully ask for divine intervention to any situation in our lives. This is not to say that you can not ask for this at other times, it is only to say that this is a time when our prayers are heard louder and the protective sheath that surrounds the earth that keeps our free will in place is open for the angelic realms to enter and help, though they must be invited. The realm in which we live can only receive guidance when asked. God does not allow any other realm to assist us in our growth unless we ask, for the asking says we have evolved enough to have set our egos on the side and admit we are not alone and that it is not a sign of weakness to ask for assistance. It is a sign that we respect and honor what others have to offer and a sign that we are learning to work and play well with others.”

Karen reminds us, “on a global level, let us all ask for divine intervention for our planet with how we handle, money, health, religion and what we accept from our governmental leaders. Let us ask for honesty, kindness, wisdom and compassion from those we have appointed, or have been self appointed leaders on our planet. Let us take the time to ask for help for others. Let us pray and ask for guidance for all human kind and all that lives upon this planet. Let us breathe that energy through our bodies so it becomes part of us, so we may pass it forward to others from this time forward. Let us become the embodiment of this energy and with every breath we take we pass this awareness forward; thereby this energy becomes a constant and is not diminished as the eclipse passes.”

Point of interest: A North Nodal Eclipse demands nothing of us; it only offers an opportunity for growth. All this can be wasted if you do not ask for, or accept that information, or assistance which it is our time to have.

Leonard Norman Cohen is a Canadian musician, singer, song-writer, poet and novelist.

He has won the top Spanish award for a body of work which has “influenced three generations around the world”.

The award will be presented at a ceremony in Oviedo (Northern Spain) in October. The foundation said Cohen’s poems and songs explored “with depth and beauty the major questions concerning humanity”.

Cohen has already achieved top honors such as the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has also received the nations’ highest civilian honor, a Companion of the Order of Canada.

The prize amount is 50,000 Euro.

Cohen is known for his trademark songs like Suzanne and Hallelujah etc.

He once told a reporter about his writing style or process as “like a bear stumbling into a beehive or a honey cache. I’m stumbling right into it and getting stuck, and it’s delicious and it’s horrible and I’m in it and it’s not very graceful and it’s awkward and it’s very painful and yet there’s something inevitable about it.”

There are few other famous personalities to be mentioned who have won the award. The list includes J.K. Rowling and Woody Allen.

Cohen is working on a new album which is expected to be released in the foreseeable future. The album is eagerly awaited in the world market.

She is following a hectic schedule. It does not look like that she is getting much time for sleep given the kind of places to go and people to meet.

Lady Gaga has told the “Showbiz Tonight” team that lack or less of sleep is not a distraction.
