WHO has warned us against the increasing use of cell phones.

The world Health Organization has put cell phones in the ‘carcinogenic hazard’ category. It is the same section which includes other harmful substances as engine exhaust and chloroform etc.

A warning has been sent again to generate awareness that the radiations can cause cancer.

We need to maintain composure and make a wise decision as WHO had also said that no adverse health effects had been established.

“The biggest problem we have is that we know most environmental factors take several decades of exposure before we really see the consequence,” said Dr. Keith Black. He is the chairman of Neurology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at Los Angeles.

It is like a low-powered microwave oven type of radiation called as non-ionizing. “What microwave radiation does in most simplistic terms is similar to what happens to food in microwaves, essentially cooking the brain,” Black said.

We, the citizens of world, have already been warned against excessive usage of cell phones and the recent announcement is another step in the same direction.

“I think it is a good idea to give the public some sort of warning that long term exposure to radiation from your cell phone could possibly cause cancer,” said Dr. Henry Lai.

The European Environmental Agency has supported the cause. Several case-studies have published the information that people who use cell phones for 10 years and more had increased chances of brain glioma (tumor).

The good part is that there are different ways available to reduce the cell phone radiation process.
